Key IT is a Melbourne managed IT and cybersecurity company, founded in 2021 and headquartered in Greensborough in the city's north-east. We started with one aim — give local businesses IT support that works, from people they can actually reach — and years on we are still Australian-owned, still answering the phone ourselves, and now security-first in everything we do. What has changed is the world around our clients, and the depth of what it takes to keep them safe.

Why was Key IT started?
Key IT was started because too many Melbourne companies were being treated as ticket numbers by IT providers who only turned up when the invoice was due. We set out to be the opposite: a genuinely local team that knows your business, picks up when you call, and fixes the root cause rather than the symptom.
How did Key IT become a security-first IT provider?
Key IT became security-first by deciding that security would be the foundation of every service rather than one item on the menu, as cybercrime moved from a rare event to a daily threat for Melbourne businesses.
